Baccarat

Banker

In card games, the dealer. In some card games, each player becomes a banker/dealer in turn.

Bankroll

(also "roll" or "wad") The total money that either the player or the casino has on hand to back their wagering activities.

(also "barred") Not allowed to enter the casino premises permanently.

Wager.

Betting Limits

In a table game, the minimum and maximum amounts of money that a player can wager on one bet. You cannot wager less than the minimum or more than the maximum amount posted.

Bingo

[US] A game using a printed ticket of 5x5 numbers most commonly played in the USA and Canada with randomly generated numbers.
[UK] A game using a printed ticket of 15 numbers on three lines most commonly played in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

Bingo marker

[Bingo] A crayon or ink dauber that is used to cover the numbers on a bingo game card.

Black

The most common colour used for $100 chips.

Blind Bet

[Poker] A bet posted without the player sees any of his/her cards.

Blinds

[Poker] A forced bet in Hold'em Poker.

Bluff

[Poker] Players bluff when raising with a weak hand in hopes of driving out players with stronger hands.

Board

[Poker] The community cards dealt face-up in the centre of the table are referred to as on the 'board'.

Boat

Another term for a Full house.

Break-Even Point

The point at which if you played forever, the bets you made would approximately equal the payoffs you would receive.

Bring in, Bring-in

[Poker] In seven-card stud, the bring-in is a mandatory bet made by the player with the lowest upcard in the first round of betting.

Buck

A $100 wager.

Bug

A joker.

Bump

To raise.

Burn Cards

In card games, the card temporarily removed from play. After a shuffle and cut, one card is placed on the bottom of the deck or in the discard tray, which is called burning the card.

Bust

[Blackjack] To go over twenty-one. If you bust you lose

Button

[Poker] A small plastic disc used as a marker that is moved from player to player after each hand to designate the dealer position.

Buy in, Buy-in

Converting cash into chips. The amount of cash used to purchase casino chips before entering a table game: blackjack, poker, craps, roulette, etc.
