You are holding a soft hand if you are holding an ace that counts for 11 points without being over 21 points in total.

This means for example:

HIT if you hold a 4, a 2 and an ace (= Soft 17). HIT no matter which card the bank holds.

Do not HIT anymore when you hold a 2, a 5 and an ace (= Soft 18) and the bank is holding an 8.

HIT if you are holding a 2, a 5 and an ace (= Soft 18) and the bank holds a 9.
