Online Bingo rules

The game of Bingo has been popular for years at different types of functions, probably because of the ease of Bingo game rules and the addictiveness of playing. Being patient and playing enough rounds of the game will probably prove well in your favor. Before you play, you should be well versed in Bingo game rules to ensure maximum enjoyment of the game.

In Bingo, the players receive cards arranged in 5 x 5 squares, with the letters B-I-N-G-O written across the top. 24 of these squares are numbered, and there is usually one free square in the middle. These numbers are assigned at random, and there are thousands of cards to choose from to ensure that no two players have the same card. The ‘B’ column contains numbers ranging from 1-15, the ‘I’ column has 16-30, the ‘N’ column has 31-45, the ‘G’ column contains 46-60, and the ‘O’ column has 61-75.

Once all the players have their cards, the leader of the game chooses squares at random (usually with numbered balls, chosen out of a drum). The leader will call out a letter and a number to correspond with a square: for example, ‘B-9’ or ‘N-32’. If a player has a corresponding square on their card, they will then mark that square with some sort of token.

The object of the game is to make a line of tokens on your card: whether it is vertical, horizontal, or diagonal. Once the player has a line on their card, they will yell out “Bingo!” and received the prize or pool. The game can then start over: players clear their cards of their tokens and have the option of getting new cards if they wish. The game of Bingo can also be played with the goal of getting other possible patterns on your card. Some of these patterns include making letters (such as C, E, F, or N), a postage stamp (4 blocks together in any corner), a clover leaf (postage stamps in four corners), covering the four corners of the card, making a blackout (covering the entire card), or an outside picture frame (making a border around your card).

Bingo game rules are simple enough, so it is easy to start playing and having fun. Make sure you pay attention to all the squares being called and what is marked on your card so you can know when you win!
